Alamance Crossing

Alamance Crossing is an outdoor shopping mall in Burlington, North Carolina, USA. Opened in 2007, it is the second shopping mall in the city, as well as the larger. Alamance Crossing comprises more than seventy tenants, including four anchor stores (Barnes & Noble, Belk, Dillard's, and JCPenney). It was developed by CBL & Associates Properties, who also manages it.

Dick’s Sporting Goods, Inc. is a Fortune 500 American sporting goods company headquartered in Coraopolis, Pennsylvania. Dick’s is rapidly expanding in shopping malls across America. They now have more than 558 stores in 46 states. DICK’S Sporting Goods carries quality inventory competitively priced. They aim to be the number one retailer in sports and fitness equipment.

DICK’S Sporting Goods was founded in 1948 by eighteen-year-old Dick Stack. While working at an Army surplus store in Binghamton, New York, Dick was approached by the store owner to create a list of goods so the store could get into the fishing tackle business. Told by the owner that he was a dumb kid who had no idea what he was doing. Dick quit. Financed with a three-hundred-dollar loan from his grandmother Dick opened a bait-and-tackle shop in Binghamton. By 1958, he expanded his product line. Ed Stack, Dick’s son, is the current CEO.
