Plenilunio is Klépierre’s flagship asset in the Madrid metro and the largest of the operator’s five Spanish properties. The 70,000-sqm regional centre opened in 2006 in San Blas-Canillejas, the eastern Madrid district adjacent to Barajas Airport, with a catchment defined by the M-40 ring road and the A-2 motorway corridor toward Zaragoza. Klépierre acquired Plenilunio as part of its 2014 Corio integration and has since invested in repositioning the tenant mix toward higher-productivity formats.

Tenant strategy is engineered for the mixed catchment of eastern Madrid municipalities (San Blas, Coslada, Torrejón) plus airport hotel traffic. Hipercor’s hypermarket on the lower level provides the daily-necessity engine, with H&M, Primark, and an Inditex group cluster (Zara, Bershka, Pull&Bear) anchoring the apparel floors. The Yelmo Cines multiplex and a 28-restaurant food court extend evening dwell beyond typical Spanish regional averages. The catchment includes a layer that few Spanish regional centres can claim: airport-adjacent traveller traffic. Plenilunio sits four kilometres from Barajas Terminal 4, and its tenant mix includes formats calibrated to last-minute traveller purchases. Tax-free shopping infrastructure and extended Sunday hours (under Madrid’s tourist-zone framework) capture roughly 8 to 12 percent of weekly turnover from international visitors.
