Recent growth has come from IP licensing rather than store expansion. Kipling’s 2023 to 2025 calendar included collaborations with Barbie, Snoopy, and Minions, alongside the September 2025 “Follow Your Monkey” global brand campaign that re-centered the iconic monkey keychain mascot, a fixture since 1987. The brand also launched its debut apparel collection in the US in 2023, extending beyond bags. Parent VF Corporation is in the middle of a multi-year turnaround under CEO Bracken Darrell, who took over in July 2023; Kipling sits among the smaller, stabler brands in that portfolio.
