About Accessorize

The company was started in Beauchamp Place, Knightsbridge in 1973, by Peter Simon. The firm was born out of a passion for exquisite clothing, and Peter Simon began a small store called ‘Monsoon’ at a small store in Portobello Road. The first Monsoon store opened only the following year in 1973. Monsoon Accessorize’s products are unique in that it represents originality and individuality.

During the 1980s the company’s accessories collection became very popular which led to the formation of the stand-alone brand “Accessorize.” The Accessorize brand was launched at Covent Garden in 1984 and has grown significantly and has over 700 branches worldwide. Accessorize currently has over 800 international offices in more than 60 markets, including 450 in the United Kingdom alone. The company is represented in five continents and is still growing.
