The mall is convenient to the Queen Elizabeth Way (QEW) for drivers to access Mapleview. Opened in 1990 Mapleview Centre is owned by Ivanhoe Cambridge.
A 2008 to 2010 extensive renovation costing $64,000,000 awarded to EllisDon Construction.
Phase one added 9,300 m2 of retail space adding twenty new retailers. As well the mall gained two new full-service restaurants, Turtle Jacks and Earl’s, in that phase. Phase two moved and expanded the food court almost doubling seating to 730. The mall’s interior also got a more contemporary facelift.
A second extension on the upper level of the mall facing the QEW began in 2011. Victoria’s Secret and an Apple Store were added.
