Hollister Co. (Hollister or HCo.) is an American lifestyle brand from Abercrombie & Fitch Co. The company was founded by John Hollister, Sr. when he immigrated to the Dutch East Indies from New York and established the company that bears his name when he returned to settle in the United States in 1922.
Hollister is one of the stores that offers to clothe for teenagers between the ages of 14 to 18 year old. The first Hollister store in the United States was opened at the Easton Town Centre in Columbus, Ohio in 2000. The brand very quickly became successful and in fact overtook the Abercrombie & Fitch brand.
The first Hollister store in the United Kingdom was opened in Brent Cross, London on 25 October 2008, and within two months, the second store was opened in Westfield, London. Soon the third Hollister store was opened at the swanky Bluewater Shopping center in Kent, London. Following the success of Hollister’s stores in London, other stores were opened in Southampton, Milton Keynes, Sheffield, Norwich and other places. Hollister has three flagship stores in New York, London, and Munich.
