The retail chain is part of the ALDO Group founded by Aldo Bensadoun. Call it Spring’s main locations are in Canada. Expansion across the United States began in 2008. Some American stores are called Transit Spring or Spring.
In 2010, the Aldo Group and J. C. Penney announced the launch of the Call It Spring brand in shop-in-shops in J. C. Penney stores. 600 J. C. Penney stores will be the only department store retailer of the brand in the United States.
