Elev8 Fun now occupies the former Sears box at Treasure Coast Square, a 115,000 square foot indoor entertainment park opened on May 9, 2025 in space that had stood empty since Sears closed in February 2019. Elev8 Fun is itself an anchor-scale non-retail use, with a 20,000 square foot Diadem pickleball facility operating inside the complex.
The department store tier survived the substitution rather than shrinking into it. Dillard’s, Macy’s with a Macy’s Backstage, and JCPenney all trade, and Regal Cinemas anchors the screens. Simon describes the property as the premier retail destination on Florida’s central east coast, serving Martin, St. Lucie, Okeechobee, southern Indian River and northern Palm Beach counties.
Beneath more than a hundred retailers sits a smaller nontraditional layer. Zero Empty Spaces runs artist studios inside the mall, the Motorcycle Training Institute holds motorcycle safety training there, and Department of the Interior trades estate furniture and home accessories. Devi’s Fashion & Accessories, Echo Arts & Gifts, Plantitude and Flame and The Latin Trio add a smaller layer of specialty and food operators.
The replacement pattern matters more here than the vacancy did. Three department stores remain, and the largest block of freed floor went to entertainment and sport rather than to a fourth. Martin County has commissioned a conceptual study on a walkable mixed-use district at the site, which is a county planning exercise rather than an announced Simon project.
Quick options include Chick-fil-A.
