OBI is an international company with 40 years of tradition. It is founded in 1970 and belongs to the Tengelmann Group In Europe, manages over 500 supermarkets: first of all in Germany, and in Austria, Bosnia – Herzegovina, Czech Republic, Russia, Slovenia, Switzerland, Hungary, and Italy.
In Poland under the brand OBI operates 45 stores already. The first one opened in 1998 in Tychy. Since that time still are opening new facilities, and the Board of OBI still planning further intensive development of the network in Poland.
