Along the Interstate 35W corridor on the North Freeway above downtown Fort Worth, Tanger’s Fort Worth center holds the western side of the Dallas and Fort Worth outlet market, drawing Tarrant County and the Alliance corridor toward it rather than east toward the Grand Prairie cluster.
The apparel weighting is dress-and-classic. Polo Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger, Michael Kors, Coach, Kate Spade New York, Brooks Brothers, Cole Haan and Vineyard Vines set that register, LOFT and Ann Taylor cover women’s, and footwear runs deep through Nike, ASICS, Converse, Reebok, Steve Madden and Sperry. Le Creuset and Restoration Hardware push the roster past apparel into home, the category that lengthens an outlet visit.
The competitive line is geographic. Grand Prairie serves the eastern half of the metroplex; Tanger Fort Worth serves the western half and the fast-growing Alliance submarket, and its dress-and-footwear weighting is aimed at that Tarrant County shopper rather than the mid-cities traffic to the east.
