Spotsylvania Towne Centre carries a 271-unit apartment building on its own site. Attain at Towne Centre opened on 16 April 2024, developed by Bonaventure with the Cafaro Company after a ground-breaking in April 2022, on the lot that Sears had anchored from the centre’s opening in 1980 until 2 February 2020.
Cafaro owns the property at 3102 Plank Road in Fredericksburg, on Interstate 95 between Washington and Richmond, and puts it at 1.6 million square feet in total. That figure takes in The Village at Towne Centre, an open-air section of 370,000 square feet, and a Residence Inn by Marriott. Together the property campus combines enclosed and open-air retail, hotel and residential uses.
Cafaro lists five anchors: Macy’s, Belk, JCPenney, DICK’S Sporting Goods and Costco. Macy’s Backstage operates inside the Macy’s box.
H&M, American Eagle, Aerie, Sephora and JD Sports hold inline units, with Kay Jewelers, Banter by Piercing Pagoda, Jared, Zales and Pandora in jewellery and Sunglass Hut in accessories. X-Golf opened in October 2023 and MINISO in August 2023. Perfumania was announced for the centre in June 2026, one of 43 stores in a national expansion programme by Obsession Holdings.
