The mall is easily accessible by Barrie Transit and by car. Georgian Mall originally opened with Sears as its only department store and Dominion as a supermarket. Beside the mall was a free-standing K-mart department store. The first expansion added a single floor Eaton’s as anchor. Later Sport Chek and Home Sense filled this space. The next addition connected the mall to the K-mart building which was bought by the Hudson’s Bay Company and converted to The Bay.
