Orange Park Mall

Orange Park Mall was originally opened during 1975 and gained notoriety as the largest mall west of St. Johns River.  It is situated in Jacksonville, Florida’s biggest suburb.  The mall offers shoppers in excess of 110 stores and services.  Upon opening, its anchors included Sears & Roebuck, May Cohen’s and Ivey’s.  The Ivey’s store became Dillard’s.  May Cohen’s changed hands three times.  The first to Maison Blanche, then to Gayfer’s and it finally ended up as Belk.  Sears & Roebuck have traded at the mall since it was first opened to the public.  

During 1984, a 300000 ft² extension was added.  This section had JC Penney as its anchor, along with a new food court.  A 24-screen AMC movie theater was placed in the mall at the time.  During 2006, a 48003 ft² Dick’s Sporting Goods became another mall anchor.  Orange Park Mall currently offers around 953000 ft² of space.
