Louis Vuitton has unveiled its latest collectible: the VIA Varsity Jacket, a digital rendition of the physical garment showcased on the House’s Fall/Winter 2024 men’s runway earlier this year. Designed by Pharrell, it marks the first ready-to-wear piece to be offered through VIA, Louis Vuitton’s exclusive “Treasure Trunk” catering to web3 fashion enthusiasts, providing access to unique digital and phygital products and experiences.
Reserved solely for VIA Treasure Trunk owners, acquisition requires registration on the brand’s waiting list and meeting crypto eligibility criteria. Initially launched last summer in limited quantities of “a few hundred pieces,” these Trunks come with a hefty price tag of nearly $42,000 USD.
This digital collectible is a tribute to Pharrell’s forthcoming real-world varsity jacket, inspired by Western design aesthetics. Crafted from suede buckskin with supple sleeves and iridescent snap fastenings in a VVN colorway, it exudes luxury and exclusivity.
