The first stage of the Ozols shopping center was opened in Riga.
On 25 July 2019, the first stage of the Ozols shopping center was opened in Riga. The complex was built as part of the redevelopment project of Galerija Azur Shopping Centre in Plavnieki near the South Bridge. As part of the first phase of the mall, a Rimi grocery store with an area of over 4,000 sqm was opened, as well as a Hesburger fast food point in Drive-in format and other tenants.
The project is owned on a parity basis by KS Holding, a development company, and Arūtras Rakauskas, the President of Kesko Senukai Group, with investors. The volume of investment in the purchase and reconstruction of shopping center Galerija Azur amounted to 35 million euros, the portal delfi.lv. Luminor Bank financed the deal. The general contractor is construction company Litana.
Shopping center Galerija Azur, located on Maza Rencenu Street, was finally closed for buyers in the summer of 2018, after which work on redevelopment began. The total area of the new shopping complex Ozols after full commissioning will be about 27 thousand square meters. The mall will include a fashion gallery, a K Senukai construction materials shop, and entertainment operators.
