Tri-County Mall opened in October 1960 in Springdale, Ohio, as an open-air center anchored by Shillito’s and Pogue’s. It was later enclosed and expanded to about 1.3 million square feet, with Macy’s, Dillard’s, Sears and JCPenney among its anchors.
The mall closed on May 15, 2022. The site is planned for a mixed-use redevelopment with apartments, retail, restaurants, hotels and offices.
