Asheville Mall is a regional mall in Asheville, North Carolina.Asheville Mall is located off Interstate 240 in eastern Asheville. It is predominantly a one-story mall. Its anchors are Belk, J. C. Penney, Sears, and two Dillard’s locations, Dillard’s South and Dillard’s North, the latter of which is a former Montgomery Ward. In March 2009, Barnes & Noble opened a new two-story location moving from their old location almost directly down the hill. The new store is the largest in the state and one of the largest in the chain. To connect the store to the mall, Gap, Champ’s Sports & Kirkland’s were moved around the corner to make a mall entrance for Barnes & Noble. In addition to the mall store, A Barnes & Noble will also open in Biltmore Park in fall of 2009.
