Luxury fashion house Balenciaga has launched its first skiwear collection, a month after releases from Louis Vuitton and Fendi. The debut line will include winter sports merchandise, ready-to-wear, accessories and equipment.
Balenciaga’s slopeswear collection will go on sale on November 15. Pre-orders are already open on the brand’s website – prices for items in the ski line range from $195 to $6,290.
The Balenciaga logo is found on various sports accessories including snowboards, skis, helmets and poles for speed and cross-country sports and hiking.
The outerwear is enriched with a water-repellent coating and is available in various colors including black, grey and red. The collection also features insulated pieces such as sweatshirts and zippered tops made of different materials such as thick molleteon, knitwear, fisherman’s pattern wool and faux fur imitating mink.
In the footwear section, Balenciaga presents the Alaska Boot, which stands out for its huge size and foam construction, and models in nylon, leather and faux fur.
