After suffering unprecedented criticism for its offensive advertising campaign last year, fashion label Balenciaga is trying to rehabilitate itself in the eyes of the public.
Today it became known that the fashion label has signed a multi-year agreement to support the National Alliance for Children (NCA). The brand will run a three-year program to support the Mental Health Institute, helping children heal from trauma through complimentary access to cognitive-behavioral training.
About 2,000 professionals will be trained to help child abuse survivors through the alliance support program. This is expected to provide an additional 55,000 children with mental health support.
Balenciaga will also direct funds toward raising public awareness about child abuse and training on child protection, safety and well-being.
