All the company’s stores will operate with strict security measures in a complex epidemiological situation.

Apple is preparing to reopen its retail stores this week and the first U.S. shoppers will receive 25 stores. The stores will operate with strict security measures in a challenging epidemiological environment. Shoppers will be required to check temperatures and wear safety masks when in stores. For customers who do not have their own masks, Apple will resolve the issue of security at the entrance.
Customers will also be checked for other symptoms, including coughing. Apple Stores will have a limited number of visitors, and employees will focus on personalized customer service. Stores are thought to be the first to open in Colorado, Florida, California, Oklahoma, Washington, and Hawaii.
All stores will reopen after agreeing to local rules and restrictions for retail businesses in each of the states.
“To date, nearly 100 of our stores around the world have had their doors reopened to our customers,” said Deirdre O’Brien, Apple’s vice president of Retail and Human Resources. Specifically, all our stores in China have been reopened. Apple also resumed operations in Germany last week.
Store openings in new markets will be announced additionally. “Our commitment is to re-open only after we are confident that we can safely return to serving our customers in our stores,” O’Brien added.
