The interactive space provides play and exploration opportunities amid bright yellow cubes and giant Lego figurines as design elements.

A new 198-square-meter Lego store opened in the Galerias Guadalajara mall in the Mexican city of Guadalajara, becoming its central and most attractive part of the city’s retail space. This unusual space was created in collaboration with the architectural and design firm Chain + Siman. This is the second flagship store opened by the Danish brand in the country.
The store’s interior mostly uses the Lego-style, bright colors and familiar shapes, characteristic of the “bricks.” The store’s space is clean and spacious, and this has been achieved through many design tricks. For example, a clean, column-free layout with lightweight aluminum elements was chosen as the guiding design idea, allowing shoppers to move freely throughout the store.
Low internal walls have been constructed throughout the store, with large Lego pieces used extensively in the design, making the interior space feel light, open, and airy. What adds to purity is that all the technical details, like electrical or plumbing equipment, are hidden inside the beams and are not visible to visitors.
The yellow “bricks” hung as light sources and bright cubes incorporated into the framework make the interior unique and visible from anywhere in the mall. Whether a visitor is inside or outside the store, they have an open view of the entire space at all times. Young visitors are expected to play here and explore the area without any obstacles or hindrances.
