Tiffany & Co. has officially opened its revamped flagship store at Yorkdale Shopping Centre in Toronto.
The facade, designed by SANAA, comprises 32,000 glass bricks framed by polished aluminum panels, a tribute to Tiffany’s artistry in transforming raw diamonds into exquisite jewelry.
A nod to Canadian heritage
Spanning over 8,000 square feet, the interior greets visitors with a custom light sculpture by architect Hugh Dutton, inspired by the maple leaf, Canada’s national symbol. This luminous installation sets the tone for showcasing Tiffany’s iconic collections, such as HardWear, Lock, Knot, and T by Tiffany, displayed in cases crafted with intricate details like nickel, rose gold, and mother-of-pearl inlays.
An homage to Toronto’s architecture
The store’s design incorporates elements of Toronto’s architectural heritage, with graceful interior arches creating a seamless flow between uniquely designed rooms. Among these spaces are the Tiffany High Jewelry room and the Jean Schlumberger gallery, both dedicated to the brand’s most exclusive creations.
Art meets luxury
The flagship store doubles as a gallery, featuring works from renowned artists. Highlights include Tiffany Incredible by Damien Hirst, Repro: Musée d’Orsay (Rochefort’s Escape, after Manet) by Vik Muniz, and Sho Shibuya’s Sunrise From a Small Window, a series of watercolors accented with Tiffany Blue.
