The most giant Ferris wheel in the world has been opened in Dubai

The height of the new wheel Ain Dubai is 250 meters compared to 134 at the London Eye.

The Emirate of Dubai, which has accustomed the whole world to watching the conquest of new engineering heights over the past decade, has implemented another megaproject. The opening of the world’s tallest Ferris wheel took place in the UAE’s leading economic center and one of the fastest-growing megacities in the Middle East. 

It seems unbelievable, but the height of the new Ain Dubai wheel is 250 meters, while the former record of the High Roller in Las Vegas (which was held for a decade) is only 167 meters. And the famous London Eye and does not reach a height of only 134 meters. 

Of course, the case is not limited to a single record. The Ain Dubai, with 48 high-tech cabins, is also a giant wheel in terms of the number of passengers – up to 1,750 can be on the ride simultaneously, compared to 1,120 on the wheel in Las Vegas. Each cabin holds up to 40 people, and a full rotation of the Ain Dubai takes about 38 minutes. Food and drinks are allowed on board from the kiosks and bars located on the wheel. 

Construction of the giant Ferris wheel began in Dubai back in 2013 as part of a series of mega projects to develop tourism infrastructure. It was initially supposed to open in 2020, but amid recent events, the commissioning of Ain Dubai has been postponed several times. Investment in the project is expected to be $ 16 billion. The cost of the tickets to the classic observation wheel cockpit with group access is AED 130, the equivalent of 35 USD.
