Established in Hong Kong in 1963, the Stelux Group, owner of Optical 88 brand, started business initially as a watch component manufacturer exporting stainless steel watch parts overseas. The Group is principally engaged in the retailing of the mid-range priced watch and optical products under the respective brand names: “CITY CHAIN,” “OPTICAL 88” and “eGG” in Hong Kong, Macau, Mainland China, and Southeast Asia. With over 600 stores in our network, they are presently the largest watch and optical retail chain brand within the region and together with our watch wholesale business have the biggest exposure to the mass consumer market.

In 1988, Stelux acquired an up and coming optical business, Optical 88 in Hong Kong, subsequently extending this business to Macau, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Mainland China focusing on the mid-tier to upper mid-tier markets. Often raising the bar to be at the forefront of the industry, Optical 88 offers professional quality eye-care and after sales services. Optical 88 operates over 200 stores where customers may enjoy unparelled services and sel ect products fr om a spectrum of international brands. Both agency brands and house brands are available.
