Shein topped the ranking of the most popular fashion brands in the world according to
money.co.uk. Analysts have calculated that the popularity of Shein by the number of search queries in 2022 was the highest in 113 countries.
A year earlier, the ranking was headed by the Spanish Zara, which moved to the second line. The brand controlled by Inditex Group topped the rating of search queries in 26 countries. The German online retailer Zalando, which became the best in 18 countries, closed the third position.
Next are Nike (first place in 10 countries), Adidas (8 countries), Macy’s, H&M, and Uniqlo, each brand being the leader in popularity in three countries. Among the new brands among the leaders were Hugo Boss, Michael Kors, and Puma, which took first place in one of the countries. For the second year in a row, none of the luxury brands made it into the top 10.
Shein celebrated its first pop-up store in London this week as part of an expansion of its physical retail strategy. The two-story store features select collections from the Shein range, from warm winter clothes to colorful party outfits. There’s also a free hot chocolate station and a manicure bar with a machine for painting.
