Mérignac Soleil is a regional shopping centre in Mérignac, on the western axis of the Bordeaux metropolitan area, adjacent to Bordeaux-Mérignac airport. Carrefour anchors the grocery component. The centre serves the Mérignac residential and industrial catchment — Mérignac is one of the major employment communes in the Bordeaux metropolitan area, housing aerospace suppliers and other industrial facilities alongside the airport.
Zara, Mango, Lacoste, Izac, La Fée Maraboutée, Calzedonia, Chantelle, Catimini, Le Temps des Cerises and Etam Lingerie cover fashion across mainstream, premium and specialist segments. Foot Locker handles sportswear. Sephora and Nocibé cover beauty. Boulanger covers electronics. Pandora covers jewellery. Paul serves bakery and café. Kusmi Tea holds a specialty tea position. Jacadi covers children’s fashion.
The centre is served by Bordeaux tram line A at Mérignac Soleil stop, connecting it to central Bordeaux and the main rail station. Tram access extends the catchment to populations along the western axis including Pessac and Mérignac-centre residents who commute on line A.
The airport’s presence shapes a secondary footfall from arriving and departing travellers and from the professional population employed in Mérignac’s aerospace and industrial zone. Kusmi Tea and Chantelle — both with specific positioning among higher-income consumers — alongside Carrefour and Foot Locker indicate a catchment that spans the airport professional demographic and the western Bordeaux residential mass.
