Gucci Valigeria is a reminder of the brand’s Florentine roots and timeless craftsmanship.
Gucci opened its first-ever luggage-only store in Paris. The retail space is located in a prestigious location on rue Saint-Honoré. The total area of the store is 2,900 square feet.
The unusual store showcases Gucci Valigeria’s full assortment. Earlier this fall, the brand brought on Ryan Gosling as the new face of a line focused on first-class travel.
Gucci’s Paris luggage store is inspired by train travel. The mono store features unique suitcases, hatboxes, and, of course, modern suitcases made of aluminum and reclaimed nylon. For Gucci, this is undoubtedly a special story – the suitcases were sold in the fashion house’s first store in Florence, which opened in 1921.
In recent years, Gucci has been active in pop-up stores worldwide selling travel luggage but ultimately decided to favor a permanent flagship in Paris. This way, the brand expects to present its customers with a more experienced luggage line concept and a better shopping experience.

The company said that the luggage line is “a symbol of the Gucci heritage, reinterpreted through the ages for travelers and modern explorers of every era. The new store in Paris will be “a gateway to the ever-expanding world of travel and discovery. The fashion house is also considering the idea of opening Gucci Valigeria stores in other iconic cities around the world.
