The beautiful Napa Valley in California has little trouble attracting tourists as it is, but a whole new reason to visit the area is slated to make its much-anticipated debut this fall. That’s when First Street Napa is set to open, and this sounds like a transformative development that will pack in shoppers, diners, and guests from all over. As 7×7 shares, this is a $200 million, a 325,000-square-foot development that will span three city blocks right in the heart of Downtown Napa, and excitement in the area is palpable.
“First Street Napa is at the forefront of Downtown Napa’s dynamic regeneration, bringing best-in-class retail and some of the finest culinary experiences in the area,” notes Todd Zapolski, principal of Zapolski Real Estate, LLC. “Our overarching goal is to deliver a special shopping experience to the Napa Valley.”
The First Street Napa website lists out the property’s exciting vision, and this project sounds like it’s going to be a real winner.
“Opening Fall 2017, First Street Napa is a 325,000 square foot mixed-use development that will add over 40 shops and restaurants and an 183 room boutique hotel and new creative class office space – creating a not-to-be-missed landmark destination in the heart of Downtown Napa,” the site reads in part. “This $200 million district redevelopment has brought leading architects, designers and artists together in a shared vision of crafting a warm, inviting and authentic aesthetic.”
First Street Napa will be located next to the forthcoming Archer Hotel, and retailers such as Maris Collective, Lush Cosmetics, and Napa Valley Jewelers have already signed on. As for dining options, that’s still being sorted out, but Charlie Palmer Steak has been confirmed for a spot in the hotel. Of course, this being Napa Valley and all, there will be a wine bar named Compline on site.

“Spanning three city blocks on First Street, the development offers an eclectic blend of new, renovated and historic facades. A welcoming visitor experience featuring enhanced landscaping, with seating areas, water features, new amenities and, as a touchstone to Napa’s heritage, a 100-year-old Cork Oak Tree,” the site continues. “A vibrant public art program curated by local artists and galleries will attract pedestrian traffic. Newly converted to two-way traffic, First Street is the major vehicular artery through Downtown Napa and also home to the Oxbow Public Market and the Culinary Institute of America’s new downtown campus.”
Sounds like this is going to be a huge hit right from the get-go, and it will come just in time for the beautiful Fall season in Napa Valley.
