Ross will open 21 new Ross Dress for Less stores and three DD’s Discounts stores across 17 states.
Ross Stores, a leading retailer known for off-price apparel and home fashion, is expanding its presence across the United States with the addition of 24 new locations by the end of this month.
Expansion details
By the end of July, Ross will open 21 new Ross Dress for Less stores and three DD’s Discounts stores across 17 states. Earlier this year, Ross Stores opened 11 Ross Dress for Less and seven DD’s Discounts stores in February and March across 11 different states. This initiative is part of their plan to add approximately 90 new stores during fiscal year 2024, comprising about 75 Ross and 15 DD’s Discounts locations.
Strategic vision
Richard Lietz, the executive vice president of property development, highlighted, “These recent openings reflect our ongoing plans to continue building our presence in both existing and newer markets.” Ross expanded its footprint this summer in existing markets and added new locations in states like Michigan, Minnesota, and New York, where it entered the market last year. DD’s Discounts also extended its presence in Colorado, Pennsylvania, and Texas.
Ross Stores remains confident in its growth strategy, aiming to reach at least 2,900 Ross Dress for Less and 700 DD’s Discounts locations over time. In fiscal year 2023, Ross opened 97 new locations as part of its expansion strategy.
Ross Dress for Less and DD’s Discounts currently operate a total of 2,148 locations across 43 states, the District of Columbia, and Guam, showcasing its strong presence in the off-price retail sector.
