DTC activewear brand Rhone reinforces its physical retail presence by opening a new store in Boston, marking the twelfth retail space since the beginning of 2023 and bringing the brand’s total outlet count to fifteen.
Located in Boston’s bustling Seaport neighborhood, the newly opened 1,700-square-foot Rhone store caters to the activewear needs of customers, initially featuring a menswear collection with plans to introduce a womenswear line in May 2024.
Boston Seaport emerges as a hotspot for DTC fashion brands, with Rhone becoming the latest addition to a roster that includes Fjällräven, Mack Weldon, Peter Millar, Rag & Bone, and Warby Parker. The city’s popularity in the retail landscape continues to surge.
Nate Checketts, co-founder and CEO of Rhone, shares insights into the brand’s growth trajectory, emphasizing investments in high-quality products, innovation, and a brand mission focused on mental fitness. Exciting partnerships are set to be announced in Q1 2024.
With optimism about retail growth, Rhone strategically expands its retail footprint, maintaining a selective approach to location, size, and adjacency. The brand evaluates numerous opportunities, with plans to explore new retail ventures in 2024.
Founded in 2014, Rhone embarked on an aggressive expansion beyond online channels in 2022. As of Q3 2023, the brand operates 15 proprietary stores and has a notable presence in 70 Equinox outlets, along with partnerships with major retailers such as Nordstrom, Bloomingdale’s, Dillard’s, Scheels, Von Maur, and CorePower Yoga.
