New renderings have been released for several of the restaurants and food spaces that will dot the landscape at Hudson Yards.
Fans of game-changing developments have been excitedly watching the progress of Hudson Yards, the massive mixed-use development in the heart of New York City from developers Related Companies and Oxford Properties Group. At full buildout, this megaproject will feature 14-acres of publicly accessible open space, more than 4,000 apartments, offices, a 200-room Equinox hotel, a 750-seat public school, and more than 100 shops and restaurants.

We’re still ways away from all of those options springing to life, but we recently received a sneak peek at some of the exciting plans that are on tap. As Curbed shares, new renderings have been released for several of the restaurants and food spaces that will dot the landscape at Hudson Yards.
Foodies will be excited to know that chef Jose Andres’ food hall will anchor a space at the already-opened 10 Hudson Yards.
“I’ve dreamed of opening in New York since I first came here as a boy of 19! And I cannot wait to tell the story of Spain to my adopted home of America in this iconic new neighborhood,” Andres said in a statement.
Andres is enough to draw a substantial crowd all on his own, but some other exciting names have already signed on to join the roster of dining options. Included among them are concepts from Chef Costa Spiliadis, Chef Thomas Keller, Chef David Chang and Chef Michael Lomanaco. There will also be specialty concepts that feature items such as coffee, desserts, pastries and juices.
“Exceptional dining experiences are extremely important in curating not only the restaurant collection, but the new neighborhood we are creating, and we are thrilled with the caliber of chefs and restaurateurs that will be coming to Hudson Yards,” said Kenneth A. Himmel, the president of Related’s mixed-used division, Related Urban in a statement.

The majority of the restaurants will be housed in a seven-story retail building that’s aptly-named as the Shops and Restaurants at Hudson Yards. The building as a whole will be anchored by venerable retailer Neiman Marcus.
“These chefs and restaurateurs represent the most creative and visionary leaders both in this industry and around the world,” Himmel continued.
We’re getting hungry just thinking about it. As a whole, the project is said to be moving along on schedule. Many of the restaurants are expected to open towards the tail end of 2018.
