K Pot Korean BBQ and Hot Pot at Valley View Mall in La Crosse, Wisconsin, is a commercial signal about what the Coulee Region’s dining culture has become: a University of Wisconsin-La Crosse university town whose growing Korean-American and Asian-American student and professional population sustains a Korean communal dining occasion inside an 864,000 square foot tri-state regional mall at Rose Street and Mall Drive where JCPenney anchors the department store comparison-shopping floor for the La Crosse, Onalaska, Holmen, and Wisconsin-Minnesota-Iowa tri-state household. K Pot Korean BBQ and Hot Pot gives the property a Korean and Asian communal dining identity for the La Crosse university and multicultural household. Carrabba’s Italian Grill, Red Robin, LongHorn Steakhouse, and Cheddar’s Casual Café give the property a comprehensive full-service casual dining floor. Henebry’s Jewelers, the locally-owned La Crosse independent fine jewelry and watch retailer, gives the property a community-rooted jewelry identity specific to the Coulee Region household’s engagement ring and gifting purchasing culture. Western Wear Chapparita gives the property a Western and Hispanic-influenced fashion identity.
Ulta Beauty serves the prestige beauty floor. Chick-fil-A serves the premium quick-service dining occasion. American Eagle, Aerie, Aeropostale, Buckle, Hollister, Hot Topic, Journeys, Lane Bryant, LOFT, Old Navy, PacSun, Rue21, Simply Southern, Torrid, Vans, and Victoria’s Secret cover the accessible fashion floor. Foot Locker, Finish Line, Hibbett Sports, and Zumiez serve the athletic footwear and sports merchandise floor. Barnes and Noble serves the books and culture retail floor. Kay Jewelers, Pandora, and Zales serve the jewelry floor alongside Henebry’s. Miniso serves the lifestyle accessories category. All in Adventures Escape Rooms and Galactic Arcade give the property an entertainment identity.
The property’s commercial role in the Coulee Region is the La Crosse Rose Street regional mall: a JCPenney-anchored comparison-shopping platform whose K Pot Korean BBQ dining identity, Henebry’s Jewelers local heritage, Western Wear Chapparita frontier community identity, and Ulta Beauty-Barnes and Noble lifestyle floor serve the La Crosse and tri-state Mississippi River household as the primary enclosed retail destination in the western Wisconsin Driftless Area market.
