Red Sea Mall pairs its retail floor with a seven-storey office tower and a directly connected hotel, a mixed-use combination that made it the only development of its kind in Saudi Arabia’s Western Region when it opened in 2008. Owned by SEDCO Holding through subsidiary Red Sea Markets Company, the centre spans roughly 242,000 square metres of built area with parking for more than 5,000 vehicles.
Danube operates the hypermarket anchor, and VOX Cinemas, operated in partnership with Majid Al Futtaim, brought Jeddah’s first cinema to the site across 12 halls including an IMAX screen and a VIP theatre. Sparky’s Games City anchors family entertainment, and the connected Joudyan Hotel extends the site into hospitality.
At opening, the centre held Saudi Arabia’s largest indoor water fountain and largest glass-covered area, features that remain part of its architectural identity. The dining register runs deep, from Applebee’s, P.F. Chang’s and Texas Roadhouse to Five Guys, Shake Shack and Saudi chain Al Baik.
Positioned on King Abdulaziz Road in northern Jeddah, between the international airport and the Red Sea coast, the centre serves both residents and the tourist flow along the corniche. For a brand assessing Jeddah, Red Sea Mall’s combination of retail, office and hospitality under one roof is a differentiator few Western Region centres can match.
