About this mall

Located near Interstate 88 in Oak Brook, Illinois Oakbrook Center is the second largest shopping center in the Chicago area. Opened in 1962, General Growth Properties manages and co-owns the mall.

In 2013, Oakbrook Center completed a renovation that enhanced the common areas, provided additional amenities and redeveloped an anchor building with additional specialty shops, a new Container Store and first-to-Midwest market retailer PIRCH.

Oakbrook Center has had four expansions since its opening in 1962. The result is that Oakbrook Center one of the largest shopping centers in the nation with over 2 million square feet of shopping space.
