Shopping and social centre Gallery Vaňkovka was festively opened on 23rd March 2005. It was built on area of 28 800 m2 on the edge of historical Brno, right between train and bus stations.
There are 130 shopping units with a footage of 37 000 m2 to rent within two floors of modern shopping arcade. On the other two floors there can be found 1000 parking spots and technical support. The gallery is connected to two pedestrian bridges of total length 130 m. There were newly built 23 500 m2 of pathways, roads and grassed areas and planted out 95 full-grown trees.
Gallery Vaňkovka operator is ECE Company, which is already managing 100 shopping centers. Owing to this fact, it is a number one on European market. More than 40 years, they have been developing, planning, realizing, renting and managing business in shopping centers. Overall turnover reaches 10 billion Euros per year and there are many new centers that are currently in a planning or constructing phase. The hundredth ECE shopping centre is Arkády Pankrác in Prague, which was opened for customers on 14th November 2008. ECE Company is active in many countries, it manages shopping centers in Germany, Poland, Hungary, Austria, Turkey, Qatar – and now in the Czech Republic as well.
