The shopping Mall Ernst-August-Galerieis located in the center of Hannover close to the Main Station, in the heart of Lower Saxony.
With its nearly 150 shops, the Ernst-August-Galerie offers a retail mix reflecting proficiency and high quality standards. Already months before the opening, the shop space was leased to renowned retailers, including the fashion shops H&M, Pohland, New Yorker, Vero Moda, Gerry Weber, Tommy Hilfiger and Marc O’Polo as well as a large Rewe supermarket. An integral part of the leasing plans was a leasing concept friendly to medium-sized businesses, meant to strengthen the local and regional trade and provide it with real development prospects. The center also offers a wide range of activities throughout the year, which the visitors may participate in free of charge, thus providing a high level of leisure and entertainment at no expense whatsoever.
With its spectacular interior and exterior, this elegant shopping center attracts people from all over the greater Hannover area and also international visitors.
The Ernst-August-Galerie is located close to the main train station Hanover and from all directions is easy to reach by public transport. The Bus Stop is located in short fistance of the shopping center. Bus routes 121, 128, 134, 300, 500 and 700th operate there.
This mall is categorized as one of energy efficient buildings, with an intelligent control system that enables natural ventilation over the rooftops.
Several materials are used for this building. Marble, as a material which is characterized by its longevity and resilience is used for the floors. The façade is made of combination of two materials, sandstone and glass.
The interior and exterior design of the Ernst-August-Galerie meets highest standards in terms of urban planning and architecture. The three-story malls are set in the form of a triangle and open into two oval light courts and a 28-meter-high, glass-roofed atrium.
