The hotel will have “breathtaking views” of Paris’ most iconic landmarks.
French fashion giant Louis Vuitton intends to transform its Paris headquarters into its first-ever full-scale hotel. It will also be the largest Louis Vuitton store in the world network.
According to the concept, the hotel will have “breathtaking views” of Paris’ most iconic landmarks, fr om the Eiffel Tower to Notre Dame de Paris, as well as the church of Saint-Germain-l’Auxerrois.
The area where Louis Vuitton is headquartered has recently attracted several luxury residents at once. Among them were the department store La Samaritaine, the Hotel Cheval Blanc and the first Parisian branch of the Italian confectionery brand Cova.
“Parisians have finally rediscovered it. They’ve embraced it. There’s street music at 11 p.m. now. When we took it, it was no man’s land, if not worse. No one in their right mind would walk here at night,” commented Michael Burke, head and CEO.
As part of the new project Louis Vuitton intends to open an experimental installation “LV Dream”, which will combine a cafe, a chocolate store and a gallery with the works of local artists. The space will open Dec. 12 and run for a year before being replaced by a new project.
“Ultimately, the biggest Vuitton store will probably be wh ere this event opens. It will be a work in progress for the next 10 years,” Burke added.
