Jewelry brand Little Words Project is opening a store in the Mall of America. The total retail space is approximately 1,000 square feet. The store will feature ready-made message bracelets, as well as its demi-fine collection – Little Layers – and experience the brand’s signature beading table, where they can create their own pieces by appointment.
This will be the ninth full-line retail store in the Little Words Project portfolio and an addition to two pop-up stores. The retailer continues to invest in retail development as it celebrates the brand’s tenth anniversary.
Little Words Project’s flagship store opened in Manhattan in 2021. This was followed by openings in Boston, Miami and Austin, Texas. In the fall of 2022, the brand agreed to sell in 900 Target stores. The company also has agreements with Nordstrom, Hallmark and Paper Store.
Earlier it was reported that in 2023 the brand received “a small strategic investment from a private investor”, which was aimed at the development of retail.The company has no plans to raise new funds in the future and will focus on profitability and success.
The friendship bracelet has experienced a significant resurgence in popularity this year, thanks in part to singer Taylor Swift, who sings about the jewelry in her song “You’re On Your Own, Kid.” Little Words Project has also gained the attention of such celebrities as Lance Bass, Sophie Turner, Bella Hadid, Jessie James Decker, Serena Williams, Alicia Keys and Selena Gomez.
