KGAL obtain Munich retail park for institutional real estate fund

The KGAL Group has bought Erding retail park for an institutional real estate fund.

The retail park opened during 2008 and falls within the Munich catchment region. It offers consumers a huge range of products and services in its 33000m² rental area.

The property is in close proximity to the Munich Airport and gains tremendously from its positioning with the local retail sector and the attraction to the tourist and recreational market. The park offers visitors an easy one-stop shopping destination, due to its size. Around 80% of the region is filled with specialist retailers and businesses.

It offers shoppers a diverse range of stores, including Media Markt, Norma, Deichmann, dm and Hagebau. For the fitness fanatics, there is a body and soul fitness studio. It enjoys an almost full occupancy rate of 99%. Good transport links and its dominant visual presence ensure that it received a high visitor count.

KGAL stated that they are placing focus on location which offer future potential and the newest acquisition in Erding is representative of the success in their strategy regarding retail parks in both Germany and internationally.
