KFC introduced the first gaming computer with wings heating

The famous chain of fast-food restaurants kept its earlier promise and unveiled a gaming computer.

The company announced its intention to enter the market for computer gaming systems in the summer of this year. But then it was taken by the public as a joke and an attempt to attract more attention to the background of expectations for the PS5 and Xbox consoles’ upcoming release. But as it turned out, KFC wasn’t joking around. And now the KFConsole system is being presented to the world – the world’s first gaming computer with a built-in chicken wing heating system.

Since KFC has no experience creating computers, the retail chain turned to Cooler Master. This company is well known to gamers for its high-performance cooling systems, computer cases, and various accessories.

The unusual computer is executed in the form of a KFC basket so well known to fans. Black with red backlighting looks very stylish and is not inferior in design to many other gaming systems. It is stated that this is a heavily modified Cooler Master MasterCase NC100 case, specifically designed for gaming systems.

All is in order here with the “stuffing” of the KFConsole based on an Intel NUC 9 Extreme Compute Element with an Intel Core i9-9980HK processor. The default memory size is 32 GB, and the capacity of Seagate SSD is 1 TB. An ASUS graphics card with a GeForce RTX graphics gas pedal is responsible for the graphics work. It is possible to connect monitors with 4K resolution and frequencies of up to 240 Hz to the system. There is also support for the use of VR technology.

The most unusual part of the computer is the built-in fryer, which should be used as a chicken wings and legs heater according to the developers’ plan. It is important to note here that this fryer is not just a supplement but an integral part of the cooling system. The heat generated by the computer components is not merely removed. It is done in more traditional solutions but is used to heat the food.

It is still unclear when KFConsole will be available for sale and at what price. This information will be available closer to the end of next month. However, it is not essential for this case. After all, the system’s creators’ primary objective has already been achieved – even technical websites, traditionally far from retail topics, wrote about the restaurant chain.

By the way, KFC calls their unusual creation “a new level of gaming innovations.”
