Sports brand Jordan, owned by Nike, is preparing to open its first flagship store in Milan. Monostore in the new concept will stand on a par with the world flagships of the brand in Dubai and Manila, writes Business of Fashion.
Jordan Brand Milan will be located on Via Torino in a tourist location of Milan. The total area of retail space will be 3870 sq.ft. The company noted that the official opening will take place on December 16.
For the brand, which collaborates with NBA star Michael Jordan, the store will be the first in a new concept that involves creating a space for events and customer engagement “at the forefront of street fashion and basketball culture.” The store will feature full Jordan collections, including tracksuits, sneakers and backpacks.
The Jordan brand occupies a prominent place in Nike’s portfolio, generating up to 10 percent of all sales. Jordan is the sports giant’s main asset in basketball and street fashion. Over the past seven years, the brand’s sales have more than doubled, surpassing the $5 billion annual mark.
