NEPI is preparing to invest €6m into the refurbishment and renovation of the Aurora mall in Buzau
NEPI also bought an Alba-Iulia project from the Romanian developer, along with the Aurora mall, in a deal to the value of €10m.
The Buzau mall is placed in an excellent location, within an area with around 430000 people and is only 45 minutes away by car. It is the largest commercial retail center in the town with New Yorker, Deichmann, Carrefour and Altex forming part of its tenant list.
The weak layout of the center and its under-performing tenant mix is prompting the renovation and reconfiguration of the mall at a cost of €6m.
The Buzau mall was constructed and opened during 2008, after €25m was invested. It offers a gross leasing area of 17900m².
The main commercial center in Alba Iulia is situated between the Profi and Kaufland hypermarkets, with 137000 residents in the area. The current tenants include Takko, Lems, dm, Deichmann and Altex.
