French fashion giant Kering has announced the purchase of retail space in a prestigious location on rue Saint Honoré in Paris. The company plans to open a new Gucci flagship store near Place Vendôme.
The store will have a total area of about 21,500 square feet. Previously Annick Goutal, Ladurée and Espace Castiglionne stores and the Carré des Feuillants restaurant are now closed and the company is preparing to open its new flagship.
The property, which was acquired by Kering structures, includes a building with seven floors with a mezzanine. The new Gucci flagship will be located directly opposite the central Louis Vuitton store.
Earlier, the company has already sent a petition for the beginning of construction and reconstruction works to the controlling bodies of Paris. Franklin Azzi Architectural Studio was commissioned to design the extensive renovation of the building.
The new Gucci store spans two levels, boasting a retail space of 4,200 square feet.
