A second anchor vacant space at Regency Mall in Racine will be filled, turning more than 100,000 square feet of retail space.
Dunham’s Sports will take the former Sears space, that 89,000-square-foot store has been vacant since January 2014.
According to the mall, owned by CBL & Associates Properties Inc., Dunham’s Racine location will be Wisconsin’s 20th. It will offer a full line of traditional sporting goods and sports equipment, as well as active and casual sports apparel and footwear. Dunham’s also includes hunting goods and golf shop.
The store will be competing with Dick’s Sporting Goods, just across the road from the mall.
Developers recently shared plans for a party supply store, fabric and crafts store and Ross Dress 4 Less to split space inside Regency Mall’s other vacant anchor, a former JCPenney. The inclusion of Dunham’s means all four of the largest spaces will be filled at Regency Mall, adding to existing anchors Boston Store and Burlington Coat Factory.
Regency Mall is a regional mall with the GLA about 870 000 square feet. The major stores of the mall are Boston Store, Burlington Coat Factory, Target. In general it hosts more than 100 stores and cafes making it truly a total shopping experience.
