New openings in China and France are planned before the end of the year.
Italian luxury menswear brand Canali has opened of a new flagship store in New York City. The nearly 300-square-foot retail space is located at 600 Madison Avenue, between 57th and 58th streets, a block away from the former flagship.
With the expanded space, the new Canali monostore offers an expanded assortment of apparel, footwear and accessories, as well as introducing a special area for custom tailoring by Me by Canali and VIP services.
The new retail space has plenty of natural light. Curved showcases are made of wood and marble and accented with metal trim. The interior also features handmade rugs and Pietra Serena stone flooring.
“We wanted to mix the typical features of a luxury store with the not-so-typical features of an Italian home to free up space for the incoming customer. I want to be able to create and host events, exhibitions and experiences to share with our customers to provide a full engaging experience for our customers,” said Stefano Canali, the brand’s CEO.
The store also features vibrant artwork by Italian duo Goldschmied & Chiari. The brand also offers its customers the use of a fully stocked bar, a dressing room and a space for taking measurements. The Canali store was the first to open in the new retail concept. The company plans to use its elements in new locations around the world. In particular, new openings in China and France are planned before the end of the year.
