Sports brand Wilson has announced the opening of a new store at the Mall of America — the new outlet totals 2,600 square feet.
It is the first location in Bloomington, Minnesota, and the eighth in the country in the company’s portfolio. As of the third quarter of 2023, the brand also has a presence in Chicago, Illinois; Santa Monica, California; Houston, Texas; Central Valley, New York; and New York, New York, where the company has three stores.
In the new store at Mall of America, Wilson features a full line of sporting goods, apparel, and footwear for tennis, soccer, and baseball. The outlet also features technical sports apparel for other sports.
Wilson Sporting Goods has a history of over a century, but the brand began opening retail stores in 2021 after launching the first Wilson Sportswear line.
Wilson also offers equipment rentals and product testing before purchase at the new store. Specifically, tennis and pickleball racquets can be rented for $5 to $10 per week, with the price deducted from the price if purchased.
Wilson also carries official NBA and WNBA basketballs, leading tennis racquets such as the Pro Staff and Shift and other merchandise for both men and women. In addition, the store carries Wilson’s latest 2023 “City Edition” series of basketballs honoring Minnesota’s hometown team, the Timberwolves.
