Stüssy, the renowned streetwear brand, has officially opened its Chengdu Chapter store in Sichuan Province, China, marking another step in its global expansion. The new store, located on Citang Street in the Qingyang District, was conceptualized by Los Angeles-based design studio Perron-Roettinger, known for its unique creative direction and distinct visual language.
Design inspired by heritage and modernity
The Chengdu Chapter store is designed to reflect the historical significance of the Sichuan province. The exterior features exposed brick from a heritage building, while the interior showcases natural wood and red-stained marble, blending local cultural elements with Stüssy’s contemporary ethos. The design aligns with the creative approach seen in Stüssy’s Milan, Honolulu, and Bangkok Chapter locations, further enhancing its global identity.
Exclusive collection for the Chengdu opening
To celebrate the opening, Stüssy released an exclusive capsule collection for the Chengdu store, including a range of limited-edition t-shirts and hoodies. These pieces are designed specifically for local customers to commemorate the brand’s arrival in the city.
