UBBO Amadora

UBBO Amadora is one of the largest shopping centres in Portugal and Castellana Properties’ principal Lisbon metropolitan asset, opened in 2009 as Dolce Vita Tejo and rebranded as UBBO following the Spanish SOCIMI’s acquisition of the centre and its subsequent renovation programme. The 110,000-sqm super-regional centre houses approximately 240 stores across two retail levels, anchoring the western Lisbon metro retail map at Amadora along the IC19 motorway corridor.

The format combines a Continente hypermarket anchor with extensive fashion volume across both retail levels and a substantial dining and entertainment cluster including a multiplex cinema. International vertical apparel chains feature prominently across the tenant mix, with Primark, H&M, Zara, Inditex group brands, and the broader international fashion lineup that established the original Dolce Vita Tejo as the largest Portuguese super-regional outside the Lisbon and Porto historic city centres.

The catchment combines the Amadora, Sintra, and Odivelas residential population with spillover from the western Lisbon metro corridor along the IC19 motorway. The Amadora rail station and the adjacent Reboleira metro station on the Blue Line provide public transport access uncommon for Portuguese suburban super-regionals, with the broader western Lisbon demographic flowing through the connection alongside the parking-led traffic.

Castellana Properties acquired the centre as part of its broader Iberian retail portfolio expansion, applying the operator’s renovation methodology that brought tenant freshness and circulation refinement to the asset. UBBO occupies the dominant western Lisbon metro position within the operator’s portfolio, complementing the smaller Spanish properties at Plaza Río 2 and the Andalusian assets that form the bulk of the SOCIMI’s commercial register.
