SM City Naga

SM City Naga opened on May 1, 2009, as the first SM Supermall in the Bicol Region and the principal modern retail destination for the southern Luzon mainland between Quezon Province and Sorsogon. The property is located along Ninoy and Cory Aquino Avenue in the Central Business District II of Naga City, Camarines Sur, on a 4.7-hectare site that places the mall at one of the city’s most strategically important commercial junctions. Naga itself is the largest urban center in Camarines Sur and a regional hub for trade, education, government, and transportation across the Bicol provinces.

The mall opened with a gross floor area of 64,870 square meters and has been substantially expanded through 2025 to approximately 110,000 square meters, with the new wing housing additional retail spaces and a National University Naga campus. Anchor tenants include The SM Store, SM Supermarket, Ace Hardware, SM Cinema with five new theaters that opened in December 2025, Watsons, and BDO. The original four-cinema complex has been renumbered to Cinemas 6 through 8 to accommodate the expansion. The mall’s circular atrium and curtain-glass facade differentiate it visually from the standard SM template, reflecting the design template that SM Prime developed for its early Bicol entry.

SM City Naga serves a catchment that includes Naga, Iriga, Pili, Camarines Sur, Camarines Norte, Albay, Sorsogon, Catanduanes, and Masbate. Approximately 2.5 million residents live within a ninety-minute drive radius across the central Bicol provinces, with the broader regional catchment extending across all six Bicol provinces. The mall sits near the Naga Integrated Bus Terminal, the Philippine National Railways station, and the Maharlika Highway that runs the length of southern Luzon.
