SM City BF Parañaque opened on 29 November 2013 as SM Prime’s 48th mall nationally, in a city that already held two of the group’s centres: SM City Sucat from 2001 and SM City Bicutan from 2002. That places a third SM address inside a city already served by Sucat and Bicutan, with BF positioned around the residential catchment of BF Homes and adjoining Parañaque, Las Piñas and Alabang. SM Prime built it on a 25,079-square-meter site.
The building runs to three retail levels with parking stacked above them, and the atrium rises the full height of the shopping floors as an activity space for concerts and exhibits. The structure includes a rainwater catchment basin and skylight domes. SM Prime reports a gross floor area of about 114,000 square meters as of December 31, 2025.
Technology is the largest category on the current roster, with 22 active brands including Samsung, OPPO, vivo, HUAWEI, realme, Infinix, Octagon Computer Superstore, Power Mac Center, Cherry Mobile and Silicon Valley, most of them clustered in the Cyberzone on the third level. The SM Store and SM Supermarket occupy the large-format space, with SM Appliance Center, Ace Hardware and Our Home behind them and Uniqlo, Bench, Penshoppe, Plains & Prints and Bayo on apparel and Vikings, Bonchon, J.CO Donuts & Coffee, Krispy Kreme and Zark’s Burgers on food. Executive Optical, LBC Express, Chinabank and A-1 Driving add an errand-led service layer.
SM Prime opened it as the first of its malls with four Director’s Club cinemas equipped with electronic recliners, a format the group has since taken across the portfolio. South of it, Festival Mall in Alabang, operated by Filinvest Land, trades in the same southern Metro Manila market.
